Polish tourism sector:
In the recent years, Poland’s hotel market has shown continuous overall growth leaving behind some of major European tourist destinations.
The main drivers of growing Polish tourism: economic growth, increased internal travel, growing interest in Polish cultural heritage and MICE tourism.
While Poland is currently becoming one of the largest business centers in Europe, Krakow on its own has attracted many large international corporations (Shell, Johnson&Johnson and others) which is not only creating jobs, but also encourages a creation of large business centers and business travelling.
Krakow airport passenger flow has grown at a 17% average annual growth rate in 2015-2019, and in 2019 the total number of passengers reached 8.4 million.
Hotel real estate attracts substantial attention from foreign investors due to higher investment returns and resilience shown by Poland during an economic crisis.
