“I Asset management” invests in Poland – project starts in Krakow2021 06 15
The largest modern house construction project by IAM European Student Housing Fund in Poland is starting – we will be investing over EUR 30 million into the hotel project in Krakow, that will welcome students and young professionals to study, live and create communities there. We have selected one of the leading construction companies in Poland to deliver us the building in 2023. We also used international experts in the student home property class – the Austrian consulting company Bonard.
“This is the largest and most ambitious project of ours, more than double the size of our projects in Vilnius and Riga combined. We see great potential for the project in Krakow and other major Polish cities – we are impressed by the size of Poland, the number of higher education students and unoccupied niche for quality housing for students and young professionals. When we start implementing the project in Krakow, we are already thinking of Warsaw, Poznan and Wroclaw, where we are currently looking for strategically convenient locations for investment and construction, ”says Matas Mockeliūnas, IAM European Student Housing partner.
“Student housing is one of the most in-demand asset classes for investors due to its excellent resilience – in both good and pandemic times, the occupancy of student homes has exceeded 90%, resulting in low risk and a steady income for investors. “Poland is one of the few countries, where investors can find a combination of volume, demand and an under-saturated market. In addition, both demand and rental prices have risen in recent years, ”says Samuel Vetrak, CEO of Bonard.
