1 Asset Management has marked the cornerstone-laying ceremony of a new hotel project for students and young professionals in the Wrzeszcz district of Gdańsk. The project is being developed by Gdańsk-based real estate company Upside Property, while the general contractor is ATLAS WARD Polska, a company with more than 26 years of experience in the Polish construction market.

The development is located in a strategic area next to Galeria Bałtycka shopping center and the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz railway station, offering convenient access to public transport and bicycle infrastructure. The building will feature 375 rooms and provide 528 beds, becoming part of the SHED Living network of modern student accommodation.

The seven-storey complex will comprise a total area of 11,400 sq. m. The project will also include shared spaces, commercial premises, and upgrades to the surrounding public infrastructure, including pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, and public spaces. Strong emphasis is being placed on sustainability and accessibility for people with disabilities.

The project will further strengthen the Poland portfolio of the CEE Student Housing Fund managed by 1 Asset Management. Upon completion, the total number of beds in the fund’s Poland portfolio will reach 2,340.

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027.
